AOEC is a leading environment education centre situated on leased Department of Conservation (DOC) land, in the Kaimai Forest Park surrounded by Native Bush.

The centre is managed by the board of the Kaimai Outdoor Centre Incorporated. As a Not for Profit organisation, all profits and donations go towards the improvement of facilities, activities and programmes. Board Members are volunteers and a resident manager is employed to run and take care of the centre. You can learn more about the AOEC Team here.

To provide environment education that fosters positive life skills and awareness of the NZ bush and sustainable management of all resources.

A total of 92 people can be accommodated in dormitory style bunkroom accommodation with separate male and female bathroom and toilet facilities
